T-TRAK

Our club is becoming more involved with T-Trak modular railroading. The modules are light weight and small enough to fit a complete layout on regular banquet tables. The modules are designed to use standard KATO Unitrack. Kits are available. Detailed information on building  modules can be found online at:

www.ttrak.org and ttrak.wikidot.com/tutorials

Most clubs, including ours, use the Alternate Track Spacing of 33 mm. The modules can be built using 1/4” plywood for the top and sides for rigidity and ease of construction.  The important 2-3/4” module height dimension is to the top of the module (excluding track height).  Leg adjusters are needed to level the layout and assure all modules are the same height.

Since the modules utilize tables, the use of clamps to hold the modules together is not necessary. Track power can be fed from one module location and does not require power jumpers between the modules. Multiple track feeds may be required for larger layouts.

A list of member's modules (most with photos!) can be found at the T-TRAK WikiDot site
